Such signs as this one are pointless. It's as if those who put them there are thinking that potential fly tippers will think "Oh look,that sign says we can't break the law here. Let's go somewhere else that doesn't have a sign like that and break the law there".
Fly tipping is against the law. Everyone knows that,so those doing it won't be put off by a sign telling them not to break the law.

That's an interesting one - the red sign marks the start of a passing place even from some distance, so perhaps the wording's rather awry (the '2 metres ahead' is superfluous), but the sign has function.Lucky it was there so I knew there was somewhere to pull over and park my bike.

The Welsh seem keen on painting the sign "ARAF" (slow) on hilly roads. When cycling, I find this an utterly pointless instruction.
