I think the fact that the biddy didn't stop, gives me free reign to fabricate whatever scenario I see fit, in this scenario the old duffer is a villain! Probably with some sort of over inflated sense of self entitlement to their space on the path/road/track etc, a spiteful demeanour and poor skills with regard controlling the vehicle.

I'm guessing he got hit from behind then. If the scooter is 10mph, the cyclist must have been crawling along.

Some can go up to 18 mph if I remember correctly, those ones have to be tax and I think need some form of insurance. I know someone who have one of the fast mobility scooters and I remember them saying when they paid for it they couldn't take it away there and then because it needed to be taxed and I'm sure they mentioned something about insurance but I can't remember.

They are a PITA, they can go quickly, most seem to just take up room and get annoyed that you want to use the same road or path as them.. when they are going in the right direction
