Yebbut, but I still prefer to actually see something as I 'clock' a bum, man or woman you know! A thong stuck up a crack and out of normal view is only interesting if you can ACTUALLY see it!

To this end (pardon the pun) I wonder just how much the market for male briefs has declined over the years (for reasons of heat, I get it)....

Sorry to divert you all from undie chat, but beer must be served in the appropriate glass, preferably matched to the breweries glassware.

Just as long as I can drink the stuff, I couldn't give a flying fart what glass/vessel its in!!

If you recall, black underwear under white can be seen as easily white/white. Apparently there is a shade of red that cures this, there is also nude coloured.

I have noted though, particularly with expensive ranges ( HOM, Clever, Joe Snyder and the like) less material is becoming the norm

I'm kind-of stuffed with the clothes-matching-bike thing - I have 2 black bikes, one that's so dark blue it may as well be black, but the fixed is purple. With purple tyres.
...
Black bar tape goes with any colour of frame, but should be matched with a black saddle.
White tape is just silly, as it stays white for about 15 nanoseconds, and the same goes for saddles.
Looks cool as hell in the shop, and looks terrible 20 yards down the road. Don't do it to yourself.

I have spent waaaaaaay too long thinking about all these things.

That is actually incorrect my good friend! My handlebar tape is white as snow after 10 months of intense use, in all weather conditions. It's all about the "The Method":
ahem [clears throat].. pay attention please! There are four factors that define the colour of your white tape (as with many cyclists tents to fluctuate either to the spectrum of grey or the one of brown):
1./ The actual quality of the tape (when it comes to tapes you do get what you paid for)
2./ The cleaning method (has to be Jif Classic, on damp cloth)
3./ The frequency (if you leave it until it's filthy, it's too late)
4./ The proofing (after cleaning and when it's dry, use waterproofing spray - either for clothes/cycling kit or shoes.. And, no, it doesn't get sticky!)

And that's all I had to say.. :cuppa:

But does it match your unmentionables? :giggle:

On a serious note, what about a white sports bra with black shorts?

Like I said - don't do it to yourself. My black tape looks black, and hasn't been scrubbed with Jif ever.
