I was just searching for a hammer in my sister's garage and I found the bomb! It is looking a bit the worse for wear, but it is nearly 80 years old now so that is not surprising!

Honest story, the wife phoned me at work to tell me she had found an old bike lamp in the very overgrown garden of a bungalow we had just purchased, she described as exactly the same as you have in your hand, 90minutes or so later the bomb disposal squad were here.

They seemed to think it had dropped out of a Lancaster as it took off or landed, we have an old airfield just outside of the village.

Lordy, I think I'm just about far enough away for it not to take out my windows should it go off. At least you'll make the front page of the local paper.

3-4 decades ago, the Scotcade catalogue was a wonder of modern technology. Radio alarm clocks and teasmaids!
