Burtons Potato Puffs, light as a feather, went to dust when you squashed the packet, meaning you could pour them down your throat, often choking in the process.
I liked the plain ready salted best and the occasional puff which came with a dollop of grease inside it was a real bonus :tongue:

Those unreliable mechanical vending machines on London Underground platforms. They used to tempt you with offers of small chocolate bars. And then steal your money.
You could manage to wriggle the bottom one out if you had small hands, that meant the next person didn't get a bar of choccy but left the machine ready to be tickled by the next kid who knew the trick. DAMHIKT :whistle: :laugh:

Funny thing is I was looking at one last night on Lewisham Station.
All updated now. You can pay using your phone, watch or card.
