Wee neds throwing snowballs at passing cars/buses/taxis/etc. Its bad enough driving on hard-packed snow without snowballs whacking off the car

My grammar bete noir at the moment is: amount instead of number;
e.g. Gordon Ramsay on F Word "The amount of people who chose to pay for..." Grrrr! I'm beginning to get over the closely related fewer/less error as that's a lost battle I fear, usage has made it correct. :smile:

But with re;lation to things that actually matter: +1 for cars not signalling or waiting until they're actually moving before they signal, especially when going left at a no left turn junction.

Wow, having just read through this thread it would appear that there's a lot of barely suppressed rage on CC.

Anyway my personal pet hate is people who insist on speaking on their mobile phones in the quiet of train even though they are perfectly aware that it is a quiet coach. They usually start their calls by loudly proclaiming "I mustn't be long because I'm in the quiet coach", and then proceed to talk volubly and at length often ignoring appeals from their fellow passengers to be quiet.

When two people simutaniously blow there nose into a head wind at the frond of the group and I'm right behind!
