I can't believe this was nearly an impulse buy. Spotted in an antiques shop. Had a nice heft to it. Only 18 quid.

When I was 15 I saved up and bought a full size pool table. Got it delivered to my house and erected in my bedroom.
I could barely walk around it and certainly couldn’t have played properly.
Fortunately my parents convinced me to return it. I got a full refund, but the delivery driver was annoyed.

I'd love a full sized pool table. Would require moving house though.

Similar, I had a 6x3 snooker table in my bedroom, I cut down one of the cues for when the cue ball was against the cushion.

An Alfa Romeo Giulietta (sp?) as my first car. A closer inspection revealed a strip of spray-painted gaffer tape holding the windscreen in. I ended up getting a Skoda, and I'm still not 100% convinced I made the right call.
