I'm going to delete all my threads, I've never had 44 hits before  And yes I did feel a bit bad Chromatic, but figured than anybody rich enough to buy it ,would be rich enough to replace it with a new one. As it happens I'm wearing it now, lovely and warm. I'll be riding past the spot again tomorrow to see if there's another one ...

Right then....

Ive got home from work and had my tea, so i pop on here to find out what the op found and......

STILL NO BLEEDING ANSWER.

The wotsits are now long gone (the dog ate them) so now i have nothing to barter / bride / bid with.

I am of to check down the back of the sofa as all the cupboards are bare owing to the amount of fuel tax ive had to pay this week  and i gave my last £1 to richard branson because he says he is now skint and needed a bit more cash, didnt understand but it is something to do with losing £600 million or something.

So, with all my tales of woe, what did you find. please take pity.

Failing that, i will threaten you by saying i might, just might, start praying to the almighty thorn god  to infest your innertube with 1000 thorns

hang on...............

Ive found a packet of soya sauce out of an old pot noodle.. how about that....

A welly boot?

A couple of years ago, I realised that there's a mathematical relationship between the relative wealth of the area you're cycling through, and gardening gloves.

No, honestly.

The richer the area is, the more likely it is you will spot a discarded gardening glove in the gutter. I've no idea why there are so many gardening gloves lying around, but I assume that when people are driving to the tip with a load of garden waste, they've either left their gloves on the roof of their car or inside the trailer, and they've blown into the road.

As an example, around Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, the ratio is 1 glove about every 8 to 10 miles. In Surrey it's roughly 1 glove every 3-5 miles whilst in Kent, 1 glove to 10-15 miles.

This tends to only work during the summer months obviously.

Actually all this hype is distressing and it'll only be an anti climax......... but the longer I leave it hanging the worse it gets, or that's what Mrs BG tells me.

It was an Icebreaker Bodyfit 100% Merino top RRP £119... I've never worn anything so flimsy looking that's so warm.

As I said in the deleted post I'm a bit of Steptoesque, but t was my deprived childhood what did it

If you're all going "Booorrring" ... then tough, you started it!!
