My announcement today that I might well be out for 6 hours on my bike tomorrow was met with 'okay....'

I was at least expecting some kind of dissent and mention of how essential I was to the joy of family life....

Anyway I seem to have hijacked the thread.

Mrs Gti hasn't insulted me for over a month now.... in fact she's been quite nice to me so I'm wondering what's going on. 1) Yes, I now fully understand why you don't wear undies under your cycling tights/shorts, and I will never (i.e. every time) again ask the question yet again and/or take the mickey

2) I agree with your reasons for choosing not to wear a helmet on your long rides out into the countryside, and I will not ask the same flipping question every time you're going for a ride
