How easy is it to convert an old triban 3 into a flat bar or hybrid its my spare bike been sitting out in garden covered for last year. Is it easy to convert.
You would need road flat bar shifters as mtb front mechs have a different pull ratio to road ones ( afaik ) , and a different stem length as well as flat bar, grips etc.
At least £100, might as well get the £200 flatbar from Decathlon or do an ebay search for something else used. You'll want new tyres and tubes if it's been languishing
I am sure you can. Are you mechanically minded? If not, take it to the LBS and ask how much to do. I'm sure people can help you identify the needed parts. Shame you can't make it into a single speed easily (I assume)
Don't you like the drop bars? have something different to a flat bar
