I usually have a lot of time for Decathlon's bikes, but how much had they been drinking when they came up with this???

Emmm not so fast - I suspect to the gender who choose which car to buy based on the colour, it is probably both comfy and, having all the curves at the right places, BEAUTIFUL!

What's this got to do with gender? If anyone buys a car by colour it's a bit superficial, this is not a gender thing! As for the bike, not remarkable, a bit go hum but nothing that offensive. There was this nasty bike that Puma came up with which was either fixed fear or ss, White frame with a square clunky top tube and a heavy pashley postman bike style front grid, horrendous and not made by a cyclist don't have a photo I'm afraid!

Full sus is a bit daft but some people mistakenly want that in their bikes hence why these things get churned out, just marketing gumph

They would pick that colour?

Ahhhhhh you laugh, undoubtedly just like me the current fashion in the shops escapes you, but to ensure Xmas presents were in a suitable shade, I was informed by SWMBO that THAT is the colour this year. Go look if you don't believe me.

Me think Decathlon's marketing director is worth his/her weight in gold!

It's a life bike Jim, but not as we know it

The bikes will sell.

I have a Decathlon hybrid/tourer with curved top tubes and chain stays. I didn't like the look of it when I bought it but at the time the choice was that or abandon my tour in France.. The design grew on me and it has delivered the goods.

The shape of the bike frame in this thread is stranger but in France they are very common - the majority of models in the two Decathlon stores that I called into this summer had frames of this type.

They might not appeal to the eye but the bikes do deliver the goods for the intended buyers.

It's like a nasty full-sus BSO that's had a makeover and is pretending to be sophisticated!

Nah, I think it looks alright for what it is, and I'm sure it's very comfortable to ride.
