I don't think he'll get prosecuted, the video shows it was self-defence - he only hit once to defend himself. If he'd put the boot in when the scum was on the ground, then he could get done for it.

It's a bit like when a mate of mine joined the cops and we were talking about chasing neds. He had a 100% 'catch' record, which was not surprising as he used to run marathons! ;0) He said:

"Neds can't run. They just 'think' they can run. They live in track suits and trainers but a hundred yard dash and they're finished."

I reckon it's the same with fighting. These clowns think they're hard but put them up against anyone who actually knows what they're doing, like a Karate or Judo expert, and they've got no chance. I think that guy got off extremely lightly. The black belts I used to know would have smashed his face in. Hat's off to that guy for being so wise and holding back like that, couldn't have been easy.

I wonder who took the vid? I can't believe how much restraint this guy has, he could've pummelled the bawbag at any time he desired, all credit to him waiting until the guy made the first move.

I hope the fact that a video of this so-called 'hard man' being decked with one punch has gone all round the world on the internet will put him off from such behaviour in the future.

Love it! As others have said, astonishing restraint, given that he obviously knew he had that option available throughout. And then to do it like that: just wait for the right moment, then one punch, very hard, end of. Class!
