I love the way one of the bystanders calmly closes the chaps garden gate.

Nothing to do with 'fair' at all. I think he got the point. The point being 'do not f*** with me'....he might be pondlife, but I reckon he might just have to find another pond to pollute. And everyone will be pi**ing themselves at him as well.

Yep, 100%, he will certainly think twice about not only confronting that chap, but others also. I can imagine that the next time pondlife See's the chap he will be chummy chummy

Nope, sorry guys, not buying this at all. This isn't a hollywood movie, this kind of scum will do anything he can to get back at the good guy. I can absolutely guarantee that the householder is thinking of moving now.

I agree, I fully expect his motorbike will be targetted first, then the house, and then probably the Wife and child... as long as there's no evidence it was the cowardly scumbag the Police can do nothing, and neither can he for fear of being locked up.:angry:

Nope, I work with* guys who think they are "hard", some of them actually are. But none of them ever take on more than they think they can. This guy is well and truly buggered. It won't stop him being a bully and he'll just probably take it out on someone else, but I reckon the guy who fought back has little to worry about....he didn't seem too worried in the first place.

It could go either way I fear but the above sounds about right. Bullies tend to only try it on with people they know will back down to them. I remember standing up to bullies at school and despite their threats they never bothered me again.

Yep, bullies never try anything with anyone they think can do anything....it does not matter if you can but that they think you can.

In this case there is no question....xx(

The unfortunate thing is he will most likely find a new victim, but if enough people know about his humiliation then his next victim might be strong enough to do something (not necessarily physical) about it.

But what else could he do? Put up with being abused and having his bin kicked over? If you let it go once, it'll be worse next time.
On Sunday night, I was woken up by Ms RT shouting "what the bloody hell do you think you're doing?" out of the bedroom window. Apparently there were two people smashing up someone's van outside. They ran off and she called the police, who appeared fairly quickly and took a statement. Now, even if it turns out that these cowards decide that we've dropped them in it and start targetting our house (and I don't think they will), we didn't really have another option. You can't just let these bastards get away with that sort of behaviour without even trying to do anything.
The bloke in the clip in the OP has nipped the problem in the bud, in my opinion. I don't think he'll be bothered again.

Hmm, well we don't know what the initial kerfuffle was about, so there could be a deeper story behind it. The fact that the guys mate (presumably) was filming it and that a large group of tikes were acting the role as spectators probably shows that there was some history behind it. Add to the fact that this is now on YouTube and very popular, it can go 2 ways: either the cretin is stupid enough that he will attempt to restore his credibilty via an anonymous attack (probably armed), or he'll instead restore it by beating up easy victims in groups.

Regardless, he is an example of the exact type of pond life that politicians are happy to exploit to their own means whilst worsening the situation.

Absolutely. There's something at play here; either someone trying to settle a score, a challenge or a dare, or even - don't dismiss it - a set-up.

The guy shows an almost unnatural amount of restraint (given that I presume he knows he can take the thug!) and there is no doubt that he is being goaded with the intention of starting a fight. I reckon both know full well it's being filmed.

Personally I reckon (and obviously it's a complete guess!) that thug lad and mates thought they'd try and take on the guy, the body guard, just to see how hard he was. Perhaps it was a pub bet, perhaps thug lad had bragged he could take him, who knows. Perhaps even there was some score that someone wanted settled. But I don't rule out the possibility that the whole thing is a set up.
