You perhaps misunderstand me, I'm glad he did what he did, I'm just lamenting over what is almost certainly going to happen over the weeks and years.

Absolutely. There's something at play here; either someone trying to settle a score, a challenge or a dare, or even - don't dismiss it - a set-up.

The guy shows an almost unnatural amount of restraint (given that I presume he knows he can take the thug!) and there is no doubt that he is being goaded with the intention of starting a fight. I reckon both know full well it's being filmed.

Personally I reckon (and obviously it's a complete guess!) that thug lad and mates thought they'd try and take on the guy, the body guard, just to see how hard he was. Perhaps it was a pub bet, perhaps thug lad had bragged he could take him, who knows. Perhaps even there was some score that someone wanted settled. But I don't rule out the possibility that the whole thing is a set up.

That he was off his face was a given in any of my scenarios but I don't think of it as a reason for his actions!
