Well, that was fun...
Seems pretty widespread. Thick up here too. Hopefully burn off in a few hours.

hmmm, why do people think that cars, bikes etc don't need lights in fog. I also hate having to wear glasses as it gets a lot foggier than without ;)

I often wonder how somebody works out another persons speed, tell me how is it done because I have no idea and would like to know.

As for 20 yards, blimey that was bad, glad you got through it OK, I am out shortly in the car and I am not looking forward to it. Rural Lincolnshire is not a nice place to drive when the conditions are bad, too many big holes either side of the roads.

As a matter of interest I hope nobody would be doing more than 25mph.
Guesstimate from the speed he passed me

The worst fog I was ever out in luckily as a passenger was so bad we couldn't see the edge of the motorway, and when we left the motorway driving about 10mph or less we almost ran into the back of a white lorry parked on the side of the road. I was so pleased when we reached our destination! As we were all having to look out the windows to help the driver!

Here for rides.
Just driven back from Hinckley. Visibility about 20 yards on M6 but still people driving at 80mph.
midnight last night on the A264. I'd just said to tlh that I was finding the drive home pretty challenging when

Brrrruummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, past went an Audi saloon going about twice my speed. Do modern cars have some sort of clever radar our old SAAB doesn't?

Not my idea of fun riding around in fog. While in itself it can be fun, there are too many loonies on todays roads to make it safe.

Tried to go to toys r us j27 M62 this morning, tailbacks from j27 to j22, 16 miles of stationary traffic. Needless to say we didn't go. Still don't know what the hold up was but no doubt it will be down to the weather.

It was nice and sunny here in Walsall yesterday morning/early afternoon, it felt quite warm for the time of year but later about 3pm we went up to Derby as we had planned to go to a firework display with family who live up that way and as we went passed Burton we noticed it was going foggy but by the time we got to Derby it was quite bad. Attached is a photo of us going round the Toyota island, below is the dual carriageway that you can't see due to the fog.
