This morning ... crested the very slight hill on Canonbury Road and looked across the lights on the Essex Road down New North Road. There was a whole line of cyclists as far as I could see. I was in a cycle queue all the way down New North Road. I thought it was great!!!!

Ha! I got the 'bib bib' - and continued along by Kew Bridge...100 yd stare as Crock said, ready to dispense a smile as the road widened and the cager raced forth. Got the 'bib bib' again, which was irritating as there was nowhere to go because of roadworks; the green people carrier pulled by and a blonde woman called out 'Nice body'
Now blind people are allowed to drive! I never knew...

sounds horrendous, I must admit to getting 'gobbed' by a couple of suicidal flies, last couple of days. Barring that, nothing to report, traffic quiet, few cyclists, missed the rain, and have taken to singing(badly) to myself.

Gosh, how I wish I lived in the throbbing metropolis

Coming in this morning was not as bad as yesterday but traffic was still heavy, the journey home yesterday was a nightmare, not looking forward to this evening.

Terrible journey home for me. Got stuck behind a tractor on a single track road, he was only going 22mph. It took 3 minutes longer than yesterday, 44 minutes for 13 miles ;)

Just make sure when you tail a tractor, that it's not pulling a trailer of manure....me and a club mate did this for a few miles as the tractor was moving some....got home and really stunk...ergh........;)

No trailer, it was a crop sprayer type contraption. I won't need weeding for weeks

I finally hit a ped on Fenchurch Strteet this morning, I could hit three on that stretch every single morning if I wanted to

chap stepped smartly from the curb in front of me with a text book full check to his left, my oath, swerve and brakes made him turn and open his body, my shoulder into his stomach, his sorry and I rode on, what goes on with that road is beyond me, they all look the wrong way, I've made perhaps six emergeny stops/action in the last month despite being very careful/defensive

Well it wasn't quite the jamboree I was hoping for. More a case of lots of people on their old MTBs riding like lunatics. I was cut up at least twice by fellow cyclists and the motorised traffic was mental from Clapham to Waterloo.

At least I'm reasonably early so quite a parking spot.

What's all this about exactly scouse? Is this just the normal state of play in London at this time of year or is there something special going on? What has brought out these people on old MTB's? At risk of sounding badly informed I feel like I am missing some vital piece of information in this story.

some twat on a decent Marin HT in a full face helmet almost careered straight into the back of me with expletives when I stopped at lights outside Harrods last night. Not sure he quite realised that some don't RLJ!

On a positive note, one mate from work who took my advice when he got his bike to work voucher last year cycled in for the first time ever yesterday. He tried to hop onto the kerb(not sure his mum likes him cycling on the roads like the big boys) and stacked it damaging his bike hand and elbow. very nice to know that Cycling Karma works.

Sorry to hear about your colleague. Did you say he got his C2W voucher last year and has only just done his first commute now? What on Earth has he been waiting for!

Cheers,
