... was at 5:30 and in dense fog, country lanes and single track roads. Eerily quiet, no need for any mirrors though as when a car came up behind me I could see my own shadow in the fog in front!

At least my commute was dry unfortunately it was into a constant 19mph head wind, gusting up to 34mph.

Yep - been listening to the wind hitting off the flat walls all morning and feeling glad to be indoors and not cycling !

At least it's not cold - outdoor sensor was showing 10 degrees this morning at 8.30 !

Are you a weather forecaster or have you got an anemometer on your handlebars?

I wish we were living in the tropics, like you guys! This morning's 5:30 a.m. commute featured a lovely -10 C, with a fresh, glistening 1" of snow on top of yesterday's glazed ice. The headwind was calm, though, at only 10mph. I'll admit to wimping out, yesterday, though, as we had 25mph wind, gusting to 30.

I'm eagerly awaiting tomorrow's heatwave, which should warm up my morning commute to only -6, with wind at 7mph! :-)

Aawwww, lucky you!

Out very early - seem to have been commuting in darkness for so long now. dunno why but I felt really tired this morning. Think I was wearing too much kit and got too warm. Should know better by now, but at least once a year I get it wrong!
