This weekend I met someone....

....who knows Cav!!

Half way through the C2C, in a surprisingly nice restaurant in Nenthead, we got talking to another C2Cer, a very nice older gentleman. In the course of conversation we were talking about the Tour and then Cav, and the chap says..."Oh yes, I know Mark!!"

My jaw dropped and I went all mad fan. Told him to tell Cav we've named our car after him!! Apparently he's a very nice bloke!!

Best restaurant conversation for ages!

He looked very honourable!! He had a very neatly trimmed beard and rode a Trek road bike.

Apparently Cav did the club i'm ins evening 10, the same route that i do. There were some other pros aswell that did it, apparently it was raining really heavy so none of the faster guys in the club were out.
And his coach or someone who knew him said to people on the club ride that he was fast, even before he went pro.

Bradley Wiggins has ridden in my father's club 10. Last year he went past my father "like a train" (according to him), but still had time to encourage my Dad - what a star !
