Threadless headset spacers on threaded fork

So I have this old Bianchi bike I'm restoring, and I put in a new headset, but with the new one, there is space betwen the top ''locking nut'' and the ''bottom'' one. Basically my question is :

Will a 1-1/8" x 5mm (which I assume is threadless) will be compatible with my 1 inch threaded fork ?

Will the added width be a problem ?

No. Headset washers are never threaded but you will need one which fits - an inch rather than inch and eighth.
