At tonight's weight in at Slimming World I registered a five pound weight loss for the week which takes me to three stones and two pounds in eleven weeks.

Go the slimmer of the week award too.

I've made minimal purchases of new clothing as I don't want to squander money.

So far I've bough a couple of belts down from 5XL to 3XL and a 3XL sweater.

My lycra bib shorts are a tad baggy so I'm going to have to invest in some replacement ones. Lycra is bad enough when it isn't baggy and I'm mindful of timid women and easily spooked horses that I might startle as trundle past them on my bike while wearing baggy lycra shorts.

Fantastic - well done Vernon. I'm really pleased for you. Presumably your average speeds have been edging up as well

Difficult to say. I was laid up for three months and I am still working on recovering my fitness.

I'm currently using the Woodrup Chimera for audaxes and it is lower geared overall than my road bikes which drops the top speed and averages. It is noticeable that climbs are not as daunting as they used to be and I've yet to dismount and push in 600km of audaxes done so far.

Well done Vern!!! Did you get a packet of Rowntree's Sugar Free Jelly, an apple and a carton of pasata in your award bag perchance?? ^_^

Nothing so grand.

I got a bag of carrots, several apples, a couple of oranges and a pear.

I celebrated by having a a couple of pints and an Iranian meal with a couple of friends from my youth.

Amazing, that, Vernon. You need to post a picture of yourself on here. Maybe get a life-sized cardboard cut-out of yourself for PR purposes!

Thats remarkable. With the belts though, you just need to punch or drill extra holes

There gets a point where the spare bit is over long and unweildy. I used a punch to mke extra holes for the first ten weeks then gave up. I couldn't trim the belt because it had a metallic decorative end and removing it would have led to the belt self destructing.
