I'm on about 410 at the moment (commuting, utility and Sunday rides), and should get to about 500 by end of the month, but well done all the same, its hard to get the miles in at this time of year.

At this point here, I will have completed my monthly mileage target...

It's a nice bit of my ride!

Well done sir !... It's always nice to reach a target.

I don't have targets as such (other than to keep the weight heading down) but as I crept home on ice again at 3.50am, I saw January's mileage so far since the 5th reach 441.

Commuting next week will add another 42 for January and 63 for the start of February, so I need to get a little weekend ride in to break through the 500 barrier for this month, probably never to be repeated.

Is it me ... or do those pesky trains sometimes conspire against us!!

There's two crossings on my regular 30 mile training route, both seem to be flashing red every 10-15 minutes in the evenings. :cursing:

P.S .... 2 miles to go!!

I've had two weekend rides twharted by bad weather so far, and having long working hours means I'm not as keen to go cycling in the pitch black! Roll on clocks changing and lighter eveings I say^_^

I have had at least two weekend rides accompanied by bad weather  (rain, strong winds), but yes I look forward to the clocks changing as well, should get in some extra miles by commuting the long and scenic way on occasion, like I did last year.

11 mile commute means a regular month for me is 440 mile and a bit

If I manage the seg75 in 10 days time it'll be an extra 140 miles\

Your a better cyclist than me then:thumbsup:

I love to cycle, but the bad weather tends to spoil it for me. I can deal with cold weather or snow no problem for example, but wind and rain don't do it for me. Some wind alone I'll go out but 1 too many bad experiences in poor wet and windy weather mean I'll busy myself indoors now if its too poor.

Long and scenic route is waiting for me, would do it now but a few areas it passes through I wouldn't want to pass through after dark.

Just a more obsessive cyclist really. TBH there is not much stopping me doing longer routes in/back now I have an excellent Magicshine to light my way, so maybe I should start doing it....

I've just gone over 400 miles for January, 426, includes 3 Sunday rides, I missed one Sunday ride due to a sore throat. I've also put in half a dozen 1 hour turbo sessions.

I get caught every other trip at these crossings. Today was a bugger because the build up of Lactic acid nearly killed me.
455 miles gone. 15 miler on Monday followed by my last commute of the month on Tuesday takes me to 501miles for the month.
