Through 400 miles for the month

I get caught every other trip at these crossings. Today was a bugger because the build up of Lactic acid nearly killed me.
455 miles gone. 15 miler on Monday followed by my last commute of the month on Tuesday takes me to 501miles for the month.

At least we've had a decent, albeit windy, january in these flatlands!
Next week might be icy at times though. :cold:

I'm a bit behind what I need to do for my annual target. I've broken 300 miles for the month today. I need to do 100 miles a week, and my commute is only 20 miles a week, so I have to do quite a bit at weekends. I had a bit of a virus last week and didn't get out at all. It was worth taking the break though - it felt really good today.

Life is going to be pretty hectic until May time, but after that I hope to make up any deficit.

I normally do around 330 miles per month cycling to work on my fixed gear bike and then do around 250 miles a month doing the weekly club runs.
So I normally do around 580 ish per month cycling.

 Well done

Sticking to commuting only mine works out around 120ish so I aim to top it up with some leisure rides. Current target is 200 so need to make up around 80 each month to get to target, on track for this month if this weekend goes ok.

And... done^_^

Went through 200 on sunday, few extra today/tomorrow is a bonus.

February's target is 250 I think, wish me luck lol

Good to see Gaz logging his miles again, seeing as he was such a lazy arse about it last year  ^_^
Yeah - and by bulk logging for this month he's showing on the front page of MCL as having done a 452.13 mile single ride - that's one hell of a commute Gaz !
I just went through 250 for Jan. On track for my target 3000...

I did the whole lot in one go, without sleep. I must say it was very hard work.

Well I did the 1000 for January at last. BUt not without incident.
As reported elswhere my where wheel rim decided to fail..

Oh well, good excuse for a new bike

Congrats Vike! I missed the four hundred this month by 9 miles, which I'm quite happy about (getting near it that is, not missing it). I've just got my Boardman back from being fixed though, so can start to increase my miles again - was finding the MTB a bit of a slog!

My target of commuting 800km seemed easy on Sunday, two days left and just 55km, even on Marathon Winters. Unfortunately two sick kids buggered up Monday so I have to do 55km in one day.
For me it would be easy on my road bike, fairly comfortable on my heavy hybrid with GP 4 Seasons but a painful distance on Marathon Winters.
An extra little ride at lunch time means I just need 17km more, so a nice easy ride later to give my burning legs a little rest should just do it, it's going to hurt tomorrow though.
