Quite ironic when one considers Suntour use kindergarten age children and death row inmates to design their woeful forks.

@fritz katzenjammer - as soon as I realised something that should be very simple wasn't working I stopped. No force should be needed and I could tell where it was going.

My thru axle uses a 6mm Allen key, carrying one of those around is enough hassle in itself.

Yeah that Suntour system is just unneccesarily complicated, not sure what problem they were trying to solve.

A 6mm hex key perfectly simple to use, I've got one on my multitool so no extra things needed. My frames both came with GW thru axles - standard 12mm diameter with a 6mm hex key, but one of the wheels came with a lever that looks like the head of a QR and sits in the thru axle, so you can just use that to unwind either. Works pretty well, although I did end up taking mine off as I prefer the look without it.

Ah yes, but these are trained kindergarten children. They don't use those lazy ones who only want a biscuit and some milk.
