A bit of a lie in as WFH today, no point surfacing as it’s monsoon season this week.

It’s also very gloomy here with the forecast of rain for most of the day. Young Bernie is getting fed up with being hosed down after every walk. So it will coffee go for a splash then shoulder stuff.

Saw Junior off at Gatwick yesterday afternoon, she's off to Alicate for a week with her mates. Up (too) early and in the office as one of my team has a 60th birthday drinks and dinner, so it's time to flex the corporate credit card. Today is my Friday as I'm having a 4 day weekend so I may have a beer or two tonight

In an unexpected move last night DD1 suggested going for a run together this morning.

In an entirely expected move, she wussed out this morning.

Thankfully, the wussing happened before the downpour started and I managed to get out myself. Probably highlighting that my GPS watch needs restarting, I got my first ever KoM too.

Coffee, a visit to see if Mum can remember that I was in to see her yesterday, and a drive north through the sheeting rain beckon.

Glad I've decided to drive to work this week (getting over the lurgy). That said, the rain is benefitting my lawn which has been 'fed' recently so it's greening up and growing well
