Tiagra Brakes on road bike

Hello,

I have changed over my brake pads to Kool stop cartridge ones. I have attempted to adjust the rear taigra brake mechanism, however when you pull the brake lever, the arms do not spring back far enough and these are constantly rubbing.

Is there anyway to repair or do you think it's time for new caliper?

You most likely need to clean and lube things, the brakes pivots and inners and outers cables and perhaps your levers. If that doesn't work you may consider replacing the inner and outer cables. Unless its really far gone I'd think a new caliper would be the last thing needed.

Do they spring back far enough if you disconnect the cable?
Yes - it's a cable problem.
No - problem with the pivots

Hlab and PpP, the caliper did not spring back when I released the cable.

, I took assembly off the frame and gave it a clean and associated parts and all now working a treat!!!!
