Why not just do cards and hand them round just London.

Perhaps I am a bit of an old-fashioned luddite but I think the personal face-to-face approach is highly effective (although I appreciate it will not reach everyone - which is where the video comes in)

well my point was also about good signage which is the County Highways dept responsibility . I think they should take some responsibility for making roads safer for cyclists .
I go read through the previous thread and aquaint myself with the previous debate on this issue thanks;)

With the exception of the ASL feeder lane issue, (which is a national standard, isn't it?), what sort of thing do you mean? Yet more roadsigns put up for people to ignore...?

In this case I think the very best thing is for people to understand that certain behaviour is potentially fatal. Even if you don't give a toss about the law, you may well care about having your head flattened....

This is the main point isn't it..?

This sickening incident near the Oval, seems to have been with regard to an experienced cyclist - so all manner of road sign changes, cyclecraft books, videos etc, may have had no chance of making this incident any less likely...

The problem is to stop entirely, the starting away from stationary, on the left of a vehicle which has a potential to turn left......that's all there is to it - feeder lanes to ASL's, shouldn't, NORMALLY be a problem - it's not the major concern surely!

It's very simple - DONT WAIT IN THAT LOCATION........

Now, how can anyone get THAT message across to an experienced cyclist, and an inexperienced cyclist...?
