Time to replace tyre...or not?

This tyre will have completed (approx) 12,000 km in the next couple of weeks. A couple of months ago the blue protective layer started appearing and now looks like this:

I intend it to stay on the bike for another 400 - 600 km. Anyone inclined to disagree?
(There are no visible cuts, abrasions, holes or other nasties and this pic is representative of the entire circumference). It is a Schwalbe Durano Plus.

If you are being serious and it's not a 'woosh' , then obviously it needs replacing.

Seems to me; you’ve more than had your fair usage. You now have zero tread,I suspect way less comfort and are risking preventable punctures; the entire carcass being so thin.

I’m struggling to understand why would you continue to use this tyre ?

A new tyre costs a lot less than new teeth.

My main concern would be that presumably that material for that puncture resistant layer wasn't chosen for its friction properties...

While tight as fook I'd have replaced that a long time ago..
