And sometimes even then
Only when cycling when they think you are actually crawling along...see #6 ^

And sometimes even then
I think generally there is an issue of speed perception amongst the non cycling motorists. How to solve it? Compulsory cycling proficiency.
Or an "Oh sorry I was just sending a text" problem.Obviously not, it's a general cannot be arsed to look properly or blind as a bat road user problem.
That. And if they are looking and do see you, they still do summat stupid. Like the driver who overtook me with a lorry coming the other way. On a straight bit of road, and both me and the lorry had lights on... and it was daylight. If they ain't lookin' they won't see you, tis all.
Precisely. Like the driver that pulled out to overtake the oncoming bus. Saw me coming t'other way in primary in broad daylight, AyUps blazing and Cree torches flashing. And still overtook the bus anyway. Second time ion a year. Bunnyhopping the kerb on a fixed isn't easy, but it was that or get wiped out. He just rode his horn whilst I rode the verge into a hedge.That. And if they are looking and do see you, they still do summat stupid. Always assume people lookingto occupy your space haven't seen you unless making eye contact with them... that applies regardless of what you ride or drive. It has served me well for 30+ years on motorbikes and cars now so I'd say that there is something in it
I have two lights on front one of rear, is this enough

If only. Bus doing 30 so car doing more than that for the pass. Not enough time for rock tossing!Carry a few rocks to lob at them as they come head on toward you on the wrong side of the road.
