That video is so wrong, as has been discussed on here before. Valve last helps give more tyre, making sure the tyre has dropped into the lowest point, putting tyre somewhere warm to expand a little.
The DVD look at where he has the buckles, sure would not want him fitting a tyre on one of my nice rims.

Talc the inside of the tyre, and then the tube. Now fit. Will smell nice too.
