There was a roundabout about 1.5km from the finish where Sagan jumped up the line by cutting the inside of the roundabout across either some cobbles or a kerb, where everyone else stayed on the main road surface. If he'd scoped that out then chapeau for preparation. If he improvised then double chapeau with knobs on.

Yes, I noticed that. Heart in mouth moment... Anyone else and you'd call it reckless, but it's Sagan so it's just awesome bike handling.

He then found himself on the wrong side of a gap in the peloton as it started to break up in the final couple of kms but managed to bridge across and STILL had enough left in the tank for a full-on sprint against Kittel.

Looks like he's hitting perfect form just in time for Milan-Sanremo.

Not only that but if you watch from just before the last corner on the penultimate lap, he scopes out the best position , which is about 6th place. Then on the last lap he literally is in that position. Just incredible.
