You're right FM, that was tremendous riding by Evans. Various Italians attacked in the last couple of ks but he controlled each attack on his own. Very impressive indeed.

Good link raindog - I enjoyed that... I got a bit puffed out during the lead in to the finish though! I saw the speedo shot on the camera bike, the needle dangling between 80 - 100kph It is always a pleasant race - with a lovely name. I remember posting a link a couple of years ago, when all the riders really struggled up some modest slope or the other
