Don't think we've forgotten anything this year, mind when I was a youth there was a shop in Enderby that opened for 2 hours on Christmas day
Wickhams opened from 10 - 12 and there would be a queue 50 yards long down the road, pretty much all blokes buying mainly fags, booze and Bisto. The queue would then move to waiting outside one of the pubs that opened on Christmas lunchtime for a 'pre dinner' pint or six before tottering off home.

Yuletude felicitations to one & all 🎄

Spare a thought, also, for those working today: all the emergency services, hospital staff, hospitality including my granddaughter who is working 13:00 until 19:00 serving Christmas Dinner to many folk 🤶

We had a shop like that,a Jewish family ran it.I remember buying better football boot laces on Christmas day from them.

We'd an off licence cum corner shop that sold anything but alcohol when it opened for a few hours on Christmas morning for those forgotten items.
We'd a fair few in the emergency services in the area back then, and they knew he'd be open.
