You have my upmost respect, I am down in London near Monument on a course, I get down to London a few times in the year on courses or work so have formed an opinion that you must all be slightly mad but there is no better way to get around London, sometimes it looks utterly terrifying and the amount of information you need to process just to go anywhere on foot is incredible, sensory overload for a suburban/country dweller like myself.
Taxi's, Trucks, peds, other cyclists, all the other things to look at and distract and why do Londons Bikers (of the engined variety) feel the need to accelerate like they are in the TT between lights, I saw one wind his Kawasaki Ninja flat out from first, to second and into third yesterday, must have been hitting 80, 90 or even 100 mph, have seen them batter their way along cycle lanes, bus lanes at high speed, are there many accidents
Saw a grumpy female cyclist collide with a ped stood on the side of the road, ped slightly to near the side of the road, cyclist too far in to the side, so difficult to call but the cyclist was very rude.
So, will go back to Cheshire feeling very appreciative of my doddle of a commute !
