Yup. My bad. I don't recall the pinch being an issue at the time, so perhaps I need to sharpen up my awareness a little. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Anyway, I think this whole spin off discussion is a pretty good indicator for someone sorting out the direction signs, tbh. Without getting all anal about it, at least 3 of the prior markings would suggest I was in the correct position
A point well made by the posts to date, I feel.
Perhaps it is all a bit of a storm in a teacup though. Friendly nods were passed between us and the oncoming cyclists, and to my (admittedly limited) knowledge, neither party left the scene thinking anything other than 'oh good. another bike. that's a good thing'.
