What I object to is the potential for flooding in Kent and Essex because the Thames barrier is down to protect London. The backwash could breach existing defences.

I feel almost Scottish.:blush:
 
it's all about money... the cost of London flooding would be much higher than for essex and kent. there is also the possibility that being more rural, those areas would have flood plains - except they have all been built on for housing for people who can't afford to live in London.

anyway, i'm on a hill on the right side of the barrier, so hahahahahahaha.

The news agencies seemed to have invested lots of money in the run up to the Norfolk tsunami, I bet they're gutted no homes got washed away in the end.
