Not as pretty as the Welsh ones

I made it to the Pen Y Pass KOM stage passing lots of club bunches on the way, didn't get there early enough to get into the car park, and the nearest parking was 2 miles down the hill toward Llanberis... so it was a slog back up in time to get a coffee, a browse of the bike porn and a place to stand. Spotted some of the clubs local to me and some further afield. Realised that some people spent more on their outfits than I probably did on my bike and tried convince wifey that further spending was required so that I fitted in properly
- worth a try.Stood in the cold for an hours or 2 and got set up on the line to take some photos of the riders passing, realised that my camera was pants and wouldn't do rapid sequences so set it up for video and hoped to pull a decent shot or 2 from the stills (on review a poor idea).
Then BOOM! they were there... Cheering.. .waving.. then they were gone!
As it all wound down I turned to start walking back to the car and fell over a rock (that I knew was there and I'd made a mental note to avoid it...) Cue laughter and feigned concern from bystanders, including wifey.
Before heading down the hill we stopped to watch the bike exodus .
All in all about 3 hours of driving (got lost and found some of the smallest roads in Snowdonia to terrify wifey with), 1 and 1/2 of walking, 1 and 1/2 or so of hanging around and 40 seconds of action... well worth it
