The race is again underway and the weather is foul to say the least. So much for sunny California. There are many punctures being experienced due to the rain and the wind sounds to be playing a big part in the race. Astana pushing hard ATM as they have a point to prove!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dominique Rollin of Toyota took the stage win after making a break 20km from home and holding off Hincapie. Of the Brits Cav came in 5th lies 67th overall with Millar 23rd but holds onto 4th place by 1 second and is only 20 seconds behind Leipheimer who holds the GC lead. Bradley Wiggins lies in 59th on GC. Foul weather played in a key part adding nearly 2 hours to the stage compared to last year.

Like Langkawi, it's turning out to be a really interesting race this year. These categories of event are getting better and better - which leaves the GTs and later European races something to live up to. Last year, it seemed like cycling had hit rock bottom, but with new energy and riders improving all over the world and some of the worst and most obvious cheats being banned or sidelined, things may be looking up.

Agree with that FM, there is a whole world out there that uses bikes and they are now testing the race scenes. I've been instrumental in starting clubs in three towns in China and the enthusiasm has been really encouraging!!!!
