And gained a pie eater. She demanded half of each of the three pies that I bought from a farmers' market in Headingley.

She's pre-calibrated too. Her scores matched mine.

Pork and apricot. Good crust, minimal voidage filled with a delicately flavoured jelly, chopped pork and pieces of apricot. The apricot added a sweetness thst counterbalanced a tad too much salt in the pork. 8/10

The Venison and herb was savoury with a not quite hot water pastry crust with too much voidage. Flavour fine. 7/10

The venison and cranberry pie was visually and structurally identical to its predecessor. Cranberries could just be tasted. 7/10.

I am your Father
Sometimes wish I could cook/bake & be inventive/adventurous with food.

Mrs 'Always' wishes for even a fraction of the above.

Patience is also a virtue that passed me by.

Mmmmm. Lovely ...... but if they make pies like that in Yorkshire, it looks like mass redundancies may be imminent in the Melton Mowbray Area.
