We should give way to an ambulance even without lights. I caught a minicab to hospital with a broken clavicle , and a friend had to drive someone to hospital in Canterbury on the weekend even though her brain had swollen so much she was temporarily blind. Even when an ambulance doesn't have lights on, it will be needed immediately after finishing its current job .
