SatNav for car is fine. For bikes it is cheating

Having spent the last 2 years or so driving the length and bredth of the British Isles, quite a lot of Europe and various bits of the USA for business problem free without a Satnav, I still fail to see why so many people feel they need them... having said that, Dusseldorf's taxi drivers are hopeless WITH their satnavs...

I live in the middle of Birmingham, which is in the middle of the world (well, the outside of the world) and it can't find a satellite.

You've got to take it out, it comes over all shy indoors. The first fix it does takes the longest.
