I hate hurting animals....but at the same time I hate to see them suffer. However...round here there are so many of them it's ridiculous....many have damaged farm crops.....I would let nature run it's course. If I were to pass one I'd just have to ignore it even though I felt sorry for it....I suppose it's like watching TV wildlife programs....you wanna help the animal thats the prey...but nature takes it's course inevitably.

Saw shedloads of dead mixy rabbits cycling in Cumbria this BH weekend. It's awful this year. I don't think I could bear to do the deed...I know how woosy that is.

A whack with a large stone, or a hard stamp with the heel of a heavy boot has always done the trick in my experience. Usually needed for cat victims.
