Hi,
I'm finding that when i'm out on rides i'm getting a lot of toe cramps. I don't have much movement in my toes anyway due to an injury when i was younger; a car came up the kerb on a corner and ran over my feet, bruising them badly. Luckily i didnt break anything.
The cramps occur more when my feet are colder, and i do sometimes get them in day to day use, but cycling seems to bring it out more. On a 40 miler today i got them about half a dozen times.
I'm currently on flat pedals on my hybrid, but am getting a full carbon roadie with clipless pedals soon, so do worry about getting cramps when clipped in.
Wondering if anyone has experienced similar or if anyone has tips to help avoid them. Maybe some kind of physiotherapy?
