Last night; chicken breast, carrots (feeling decadent, I added a bit of sugar to the water when simmering them!) & new potatoes.

Just had broad bean pasta with home grown beans (saved from last years crop!) and some soft goats cheese that was left over so a pretty cheap meal.

Cool, wet & drizzly weather needs comfort food. But I did have some home made crisps this afternoon, as I needed to test the efficacity of the mandolin that I found lurking in the cupboard.

Coming home from our break in Lancashire,we stopped off for a pub meal,two of us had smoked haddock fishcakes with veg and new spuds,Mrs P had lasagne with salad and two bits of garlic bread,anyway the dressing on the salad wasso nice we asked for the make of it,well it was the chef's own,he gave us a small tub to take away and the recipe to us.
