That's done it! I'm shopping tomorrow, and I'm going to have to buy some fishfingers....
They're a bit of a treat. Left to my own devices, I could probably eat a few hundred...
What's your fishfinger recipe Arch.
I love them - and consider them one of the shamefully neglected food groups.
I start by buying loads of them and a whacking great loaf.
Then (in a Gordon Ramsay style) Grill. Ketchup. Make the biggest sandwich possible. Job done.
Of course the real skill for the fishfinger lover is judging the cooking time from frozen. Underdone and they're not cooked in the middle / overdone and they're burnt.
I'm not a regular - but a binge fishfinger-eater. I suddenly see Captain Birdseye winking at me as I pass the freezer in a shop looking for organic tofu and think - oh all right, you win.

Yeah, I love fishcakes. Proper ones, not the odd sort you get round here sometimes, that are fish layered with potato and battered...
Traditional Yorkshire fishcakes Arch... non of that namby pamby mashed up rubbish in breadcrumbs!
