I'd grilled some sausages for tonight's tea on the George Foreman grill.

I've just dipped them all in the mustard jar and ate them all.

So much mustard that you have to be careful not to inhale as you take a bite.

Now I've also got a tea dilemma.

One. and an oven a warm ish box.

Then it's pasta, pesto, and bacon bits. Do the bacon bits first on the hob and put them in the warm-ish box, then boil the pasta, stir in the pesto, add bacon and serve (*very good with some maldon salt and lemon juice, depending how salty the bacon is to begin with!)

Maker of Things
I spent many years with a single electric cooking ring, rice cooker, steamer and microwave.

I was able to cook pretty much anything that didn't require roasting.
Most evenings I would have something like steamed mackeral wth steamed veg or lamb chops with steamed veg, rice with stir fried chicken and veg, various pasta dishes, baked potato with both hot and cold fillings of choice, duck in orange sauce, the list is nearly endless for small scale cooking.
The only limitation really was when cooking for more then two.

Now I have a six burner range cooker with a massive oven and I hardly use it.

With just the Baby Belling I would be looking at pasta or stews in this weather, wholesome and warming.

Or indeed this maldon sea salt fad either. Surely sea salt's sea salts' sea salt, yah?

Oh, no... the Maldon salt is in flake form so it gives a different texture to the food  Yum!

My other suggestion is my chicken surprise...
Get some chicken breast or thigh fillets, and cut them into stir fry type strips. put some oil in the pot, fry them a little, then add soy sauce, lots of sesame seeds, ginger (powdered) and honey to taste. Serve with some noodles (most of which seem to be cook-able by simply adding boiling water no matter what the packet says).

A Baby Belling? Luxury!

We (or more wife/kids as I was working away) lived for 4 weeks without any form of kitchen due to renovations. Cooking facilities in the lounge consisted of a slow cooker and a microwave. Stews can get really, really boring. Having the kettle and fridge at the end of the sofa was quite handy though.

Mind,in my single days I only owned a combi microwave for best part of a year, though I did work away and wasn't actually in the house that much. I then upgraded to a baby belling

A Salad is not food, it's what food eats
OMG - what is going to eat me!

I eat 2 or 3 big salads a week, all year round.

A mate called in a few days ago when I was making one and he looked aghast. I asked him what the problem was ...

"You're making a salad ... it's October!"

Huh? Presumably, hot stodge is required at this time of year!
