In our 1 bedroom flat we have.....

1 Forme longcliffe 4.0fe road bike (mine)
1 Giant Defy 5 (OH's)
1 steel vintage road bike (both of ours)
1 hybrid type bike (OH's)
1 Storm Cornerworker H/T MTB (OH's)
And finally 1 Giant Revel 2 MTB (mine)

Oh and a frame on top of the wardrobe, and 2 kids bikes in our little storage shed!
I'm feeling better now about having a Giant Defy in the hall, an old Carrera Vanquish and Specialized Hardrock Pro in the bedroom. There must be room for another I think.....

I wish I had a bleedin' garage. My living room currently has one road bike (partially assembled on a stand) one road bike (complete) and in the hallway is my commuter and my other road bike. Anyone want an XL pro carbon? I seem to have too many bikes.

Posh looking garage @screenman

Me and my partner are looking for a way to store bikes in the house, it is an old house to ceilings aren't very high, mates just opened a bike shop and has some stylish looking mounting options, might have to try some of those. I think we have 8 bikes.

i was thinking of getting some of those - but they worry me with carbon wheels i have

They will be fine

And just to re-assure you I am not just saying it, people hang their track bikes by the wheels in the track centre at the velodrome ALL the time. There are racks there for this very reason!

I thought about that and then though if it can take 100kg bouncing down the road then it should be able to take the bikes weight.

The 100kg is not my weight, but that which I would think they must be tested too at least.

Go on, tilt your head!
Yup I think that 1 year of inactivity is a fair shout for getting rid...unless of course you have ridiculous amounts of space. In which case, all bets are off haha

Here for rides.
If you haven't ridden it in a year, and no definite plan for its future use, then it is too many.
That's certainly the rule round ours. I can't afford another shed and don't have a garage.

I have sold some bikes over the last 45 years that I now wish I had not, feeling a bit smug as storage is not an never has been a problem. Where as cash flow might have been.
