There it is all ready for Monday morning. Lost the seat bag in favour of the rack bag. Have opted to keep Fuel Tank bag with the emergency p*****re kit in. Thought the bag would sit further back from the saddle but happy with this set up.

Might play with it tomorrow. I think my original saddle bag was an odd fit. I guess I'm used to it now. Gez

Swapping to panniers was one of my best decisions, you won't regret it! It will change the handling of your bike, but I certainly don't miss the back, shoulder and neck pains!

Don't worry about weight distributions though... I only use one pannier for work so I'm very uneven, but it's never caused me any problems.

Sorry to thread hijack but Fossyant what are you running as rear lights:

It looks like a couple of R2s, a fibre flare and a Magicshine ?!?

Just back from my Sunday evening commute and I had both panniers fairly full but not too heavy. The bike was certainly a lot heavier to walk with as I made my way down the alley but no noticeable difference to the handling or even speed on way back. Very pleased indeed. Must now invest in rain covers for both. Gez
