Dab some oil of cloves on the gum by the tooth: instant, although temporary, relief.

That does work. You don't have to swallow it, just swill it around your mouth.

Fully sympathise. It's the worst pain I've ever known! I can see where the phrase "crawling up the walls" comes from with Toothache pain!!

Nip to Boots chemist, if the pain didn't come on immediately you broke it, it might be bcoz the nerve is exposed to air, rather than being damaged, and they have fix it kits I heard. Covering the tooth might helps a bit.

Get someone to punch you in the face, that'll take your mind off it.

The last time I had a toothache I could still sing soprano![/QUOTE]

If you offer yourself up for more soprano singing treatment that should take your mind off the toothache :okay:

Try another chemist. I think most of them have temporary fix it kits.
