No, not in the TdF, just me commuting
I haven't been beeped at in over 2 years, but today it hapenned 3 times.
In the first case it was a WVM behind whilst I was waiting at a junction to turn right. Next was a car towards the end of a dual carriageway - I was doing 30mph (slight downhill) on the inside lane, overtaking lane was clear. Third was on a residential street, 20mph limit, I was hovering at around 19mph.
In all cases I looked the driver(s) in the eye and asked what the problem was. And in each case no reply, they each looked straight ahead.
I'm a bit mystified as I do this route at the same times quite frequently with no 'incidents' and I did nothing out of the ordinary. The only difference was that today, for the first time ever, I was wearing a yellow(ish) jersey.
Maybe they thought I was Rinaldo Nocentini and was a bit lost - but in that case they'd need to take an eye test asap - as I carry few more spare tyres
Rant over.
