Witnessed yesterday and today by me. Both cars!
Yesterday, out in the country, come to a traffic light controlled single file bridge, Lights are green as I approach, but I'm expecting them to turn, and I won't amber gamble (I wouldn't anyway) because the single file bit is longish, and on a blind corner. As I expect, they turn red, so I pull up (glad of the breather TBH) and a car comes from behind me and goes round me and straight over the red light. Not an amber, actual red, and had been for a second or so. I shouted something at her, but I doubt she heard, Sadly, there wasn't a great big tractor coming the other way either for her to give way to.
Today, left out of my road. There's a funny double light set, because the gateway in the city wall causes a single file pinch point. The first set has a permanent green for bikes, because we have a little gateway to go through, and a red to hold motorvehicle traffic back when the other way is green. After the wall, there's a standard set of lights at the cross roads for everyone. I go through the cycle green light, just as the motor lights go red, and am aware of a car coming through alongside anyway. The 'normal' set, at the cross roads, are red as well, so I'm pulling up, but the car that came through just sails through them as well and turns left. Again, not just on amber or the turn, but on a good solid red...
One day I really do mean to go and stand at a few junctions with my helmet cam, and just record an hour at a time, to see how many drivers do jump reds...
(of course, I'd see a fair few cyclists do it too, alas).
